Operations Controller / Financial Controller with proven senior stakeholder engagement experience involving push-back, prioritisation and managing expectations, is required for our Global Supply-Chain Logistics/FMCG client.
The successful Operations Controller / Financial Controller will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, month-end close, managing an operational budget of c£350M to deliver insights on cost drivers, and to advise the C-Suite leadership in decision making through consistent accurate financial data and analysis within this broad and complex position.
Operations Controllers / Financial Controllers applying need to be improvement focused and innovative with a good level of gravitas, energy, and resilience to influence and build long-lasting trusted relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, whilst managing multiple priorities in a large multi-site operational domain.
Operations Controllers / Financial Controllers will be required to ensure that budgets and forecasts are controlled and achieved through a notification framework; to ensure that high quality operational financial reporting allows for drawing conclusions and clear decision making; and to ensure the successful management of data accuracy, timelines, and integrity such as P&L (Profit and Loss) and backups etc.
Operations Controllers / Financial Controllers will be responsible for mentoring and motivating a small team applying attention to detail; capital expenditure and business case preparation for the wider business community; highlighting financial issues and making practical recommendations upon solutions whilst also maintaining both Capital Asset and Lease Asset Registers.
Operations Controllers / Financial Controllers will be expected to have proven skills in demonstrating consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and BI); coupled with demonstrable experience in a similar position working for another multi-site medium or large corporate client to qualify.
