IT Project Engineer/Senior Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience of working in an IT project delivery capacity on IT Infrastructure or Cloud upgrade, integration or consolidation projects is required by our Global FMCG/Retail client to work on complex UK or EMEA IT transformation workstreams, following several business acquisitions.

Successful IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for engaging with regional UK or EMEA based IT Engineers, Architects, Project teams and 3rd vendors assisting with the design, implementation and handover of Infrastructure or Cloud transformation project work packages into several retail brands within the group.

Projects and technologies will include Data Centre Consolidations & Virtualisations, AD Consolidations, Exchange On-Prem to Online migrations, Azure Cloud, OKTA, Zscaler, AWS, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, CrowdStrike, Physical and Virtual WAN upgrades, ServiceNow Implementations, EUC upgrades and core business application integrations to name a few.

IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers applying must have proven experience of working in a similar capacity assisting in the design, implementation and handover of on-premises or cloud infrastructure; following typical project delivery processes, change management, governance and standards often found within medium to large organisations.

IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers will need excellent soft interpersonal skills with a process building mindset capable of communicating at different technical levels, sometimes using plain language, even on complex technical topics, and often with people based in different countries. This is not a BAU position and therefore we are looking for Project Engineers who can call upon the strengths of others (including vendors and partners) to solve issues quickly, rather than seeking to fix everything yourself.

IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers should consider themselves to be confident, collaborative, resilient and credible self-starters with a sleeves rolled-up approach; skilled at working autonomously requiring minimal supervision and adaptable to complex ever-changing corporate environments.

IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers should have a good understanding or knowledge of the following technologies either in a support or project delivery capacity: Virtualised Microsoft Server OS, O365/M365, Remote Desktop, Active Directory or Azure AD, Exchange Online or On-Prem, Teams, SharePoint, Group Policies, DNS and other Windows Services, Domain Controller configurations, Hybrid identities, On-premises to MS-Online migrations, ITIL ideally utilising Service Now or similar and working knowledge of enterprise datacentre technologies.

IT Project Engineers/Senior Infrastructure Engineers with additional understanding or knowledge of the following technologies would be a bonus: OKTA, Zscaler, Cisco AnyConnect VPN, CrowdStrike, VMware ESXi, non-Microsoft Cloud Environments (AWS, GCP, OCI), WAN technologies and Cloud Connectivity options, Telephony skills with QoS, the Quest Migration-Manager tool, or integrating application SSO through SAML, ADFS, and OAUTH.

6 Month FTC PAYE Salary directly on the client payroll with benefits and a high chance of extension.
