Data Analyst (CRM and Data Management / Dynamics CRM)

Salary/Rate: Up to £45,000 Per Annum


Logix Resourcing have been retained to help PACEY hire a Data Lead who will help them deliver against their data strategy and enable the business to use data to make informed decisions and business improvements.

PACEY is the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years. Formed in 1977, they are a charity dedicated to supporting everyone working in childcare and early years to provide high quality care and early learning for children and families.

They provide training, practical help and expert advice to practitioners working throughout England and Wales. They also provide peer support and encouragement through our nationwide network of PACEY Champions.

Their mission is to support everyone working in childcare and early years to provide high quality childcare and early learning; and champion the vital role practitioners play in helping prepare children for a bright future.

About the Role:

The Data Lead with a minimum of 2 years experience of working with CRMs and Data Management (ideally, Dynamics CRM), is required support PACEY to develop and deliver its data strategy so the charity can use its data (CRM. Google Analytics, social media etc) to inform decision-making and business improvement.  As part of this, take lead responsibility for data assurance and quality.  In particular, you will ensure PACEY uses its wide range of data sources to build a single view of our varied customers so we can better engage with them through personalised content that increases member conversion, customer loyalty and therefore income. You will have a strong analytical background with the skills and ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. You will need to have experience with one of the following; Azure, SQL or Power BI.

Projects that you will embark on from day one will be; a review of the data landscape, identification of improvements and implementation of these, understand business needs and create and streamline reporting structure as well as many other projects.

Working on a hybrid model of being home based and out of their Bromley HQ you will be instrumental in working with the Head of Technology to develop and deliver a data strategy in support of business objectives and in line with the organisations vision. You will have a detailed understanding of reporting, advanced finds, dashboards and statistics tools, be experienced with user training and developing user documentation to support business processes as well as having a demonstrable background of data extraction/analysis to support service improvement and marketing/sales impact.

In addition to the above, you will be required to –

  • Develop record management processes and policies, identifying areas PACEY can increase efficiency and use automation of processes. Set up and maintain these automated data processes.
  • Implement and maintain processes that ensure data validation and cleansing so that PACEY can rely on accurate and up to date data reports.
  • Work with the compliance manager to ensure PACEY data complies with GDPR, FCA and other regulation
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Work with staff and external suppliers, to gather, understand and document PACEY’s data sources e.g. CRM, web analytics so that content is understood and business requirements scoped.
  • Provide advice and support on how best to support agreed business reporting or analysis requirements, within the scope of the data PACEY has control of
  • Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data as required
  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to PACEY business requirements, draw valid inferences and recommendations from this analysis and present these to management
  • Identify and mine large publicly accessible data sets that will inform PACEY business strategy e.g. ONS and Ofsted statistics
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools; create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations to support staff understanding of data
  • Create agreed data systems and reports for staff and, where relevant, enable them to be self-sufficient in running these

Service Improvements

  • Maintain positive collaborative working with PACEY staff and key users of data and reporting, ensuring excellent customer service to internal staff, external suppliers and other customers
  • Work with ICT team and suppliers to support their further improvement of PACEY CRM reporting functionality
  • Ensure data from secondary sources e.g. are captured effectively and in line with regulatory requirements, to help improve  PACEY’s wider understanding of its members/customers.
  • Identify and highlight any issues or potential problems to the Business System Developer for further action
