Project and Applications Support Manager is required by my client to form part of the strategic development of the digital transformation of their business.

The Project and Application Support Manager will have a wide range of project delivery experience with a focus on software project delivery. The role also requires a range of development skills, knowledge of Power BI and a good understanding of the use of API calls.

The Project and Application Support Manager will also manage a small application support team to provide BAU support to the business, as well as project management and delivery of major change.

Reporting to the Director of IT and Transformation, the role will be primarily based in Orpington, with site visits as required.

Summary of responsibilities for the Project and Applications Support Manager role are as follows:

Day to day management and support of key business systems – Leisure Management, EPOS, CRM, Finance systems.
Project management of system-based projects, upgrades, migrations, testing and implementation.
Acting as an escalation point for application issues and queries.
Working with third party providers to resolve application issues, improve systems and influence their product roadmap for the benefit of the business.
Work with other departments within the organisation to analyse and reengineer business processes to reduce costs.
Manage and coach the application support team to upskill knowledge, develop skills and improve team performance.

Experience

Project management experience gained in IT and software management roles
Knowledge of SQL to analyse and update complex databases.
Experience of working with senior stakeholders to deliver digital projects.
Experience of working with multiple business applications.
Any experience gained within the leisure of health industry would be highly desirable, as would knowledge of Power BI or similar BI tools.
